"WELLS"
June 11, 1996 - June 2, 2006
Wells went to the Rainbow Bridge after a interesting life where he taught many people to look for alternative ways of looking at illness and emotional challenges! He brought me to the alternative medicine path in my search to find a way to help him heal from a challenged immune system. He made me listen to him, learn from him and challenged the medical personnel he encountered to look beyond the norm.
After over four years of 'recovery' from a immune caused illness, he seemed absolutely healthy until he began to bleed out from a cancer (existence previously unknown). Three months before his death he ran the second fastest time in the Jumpers class at a local CPE trial (all jump heights). Only a Min Pin owned by a 6 ft tall man beat his time. Wells accomplished this with his speed challenged handler giving directions from behind and afar : >). He took on Rally with no formal training (who me train?) and only failed to qualify when his handler made too many errors.
He will be sorely missed - he had yet to teach KABOOOM! how to speak “crazy Vizsla”, but he will not have to go through the fly season ever again! (They terrified him as he was once attacked by a swarm of wasps.)
Wells has some wonderful decedents, some excelled in the show ring, others were wonderful family members!
I will sorely miss this dog that overcame tremendous odds to heal, to compete, to play and still remained the perfect Vizsla!
All of our dogs (pets, friends, etc) make a space in our heart and soul to nest in. Some holes are bigger than others, Wells dug a very large space.... It feels a little empty, but his memories, spirit and love will simply grow to take up the space that the body used.
