Mission Litter (2008)

This breeding was one we had planned for years. As Chance died years ago, I wanted to make sure that Tega could carry a healthy litter to at least 10 weeks of age before asking Judy Richey to use precious frozen sperm.

From the owner of one of Tega's sisters regarding this litter.."Ahhhh! that sounds like such a great breeding - Chance was such a cool dog!! Very fun to watch when he hunted... great personality - he was always right next to Gerald... if I could, I would be getting on that list now for a baby boy :)"

This litter should produce dogs who can do anything asked of them. The key to what a stud or bitch produces is frequently in the work that the puppy owner does. Chance has produced Conformation Champions, Master Hunters, Agility Champions, Obedience stars and wonderful pets.

As a breeder who is concerned that all pups be as healthy (mentally and physically) as possible, I did all I could to check the health of Tega and Chance before breeding. This does NOT guarantee that all puppies will be perfect specimens of health all of their life, but it is an important qualification of a concerned breeder. Tega and Chance have had the following health tests done. For more information on the various health checks, check the Health Links web page. This breeding was done via frozen semen, this means that although Chance died at the ripe old age of 14 (in 2004), some of the current health testing we would be doing today were not available during his lifetime. As he has a number of now-adult get we have used them as health gauges in making this breeding decision. His get have done well as companion dogs, agility dogs, show dogs, performance dogs and hunters. They may have a little more drive than "normal." But then they might not. Each breeding results in a different product :>)!
