About the litter and stud selection
At one point we were looking at breeding to Brew's Brother. But, at the Vizsla Club of America National Events in early May, we saw the two brothers (Brew and Flint) side by side and decided that Brew should be the sire. The wonderful part of this change is that we knew that the puppies from both brothers are excellent representations of the breed and at this point are not producing any health issues of concern.
This litter should produce dogs who can do anything asked of them. The key to what a stud or bitch produces is frequently in the work that the puppy owner does. Brew and Kai's pedigrees indicate that their get should be able to be Conformation Champions, Master Hunters, Agility Champions, Obedience stars and wonderful pets. The temperament of these lines is excellent and the dogs produced have been great companions, performance dogs and show dogs. Brew's Grandfather is Kai's Great Grandfather (CH Penlee's Leader of the Band JH OA OAJ ROM). This is a line breeding-but not a tight one
As a breeder who is concerned that all pups be as healthy (mentally and physically) as possible, I do all I can to check the health of Kai and Brew before breeding. This does NOT guarantee that all puppies will be perfect specimens of health all of their life, but it is an important qualification of a concerned breeder. Kai and Brew will have had the above health tests done. For more information on the various health checks, check the Health Links web page.
Pam and I do our very best to match the pup with the owner. For that reason an application does not guarantee a pup - nor does a deposit. There is no 1st pick, 2nd pick, etc. for pups. We will not place a pup in a home that is not a good match - that is self-defeating for all. The final matching is something that is done somewhere around week eight. If there is not a good match for you in the litter, the deposit will be returned in full, and Pam & I do our utmost to find a match for you with other Vizsla Breeders that I would purchase a pup from. The puppy will come to you with:
The balance of the purchase price is due when the puppy is put into your care. At that time, you will also make a donation directly to the Vizsla Club of America Welfare Foundation for the health fund, which is working on a number of causes though primarily Epilepsy in Vizslas study at the University of MN. The VCAWF donation is a tax-deductible gift.
I plan on keeping puppies until they are 8 - 10 weeks old. I will not ship any puppies so plan on making arrangements to come to Cincinnati during that time. Puppies will be crate trained and well on the way to being housebroken. They will have made several field trips, including time at Pam Williams' house (Co-Breeder). They will know how to eat from their own bowl and will have had a wide variety of experiences with people, places and other dogs. There is a chance that they will have made a week long field trip.
Puppies will be "temperament tested” using Sheila Booth's Positive Puppy Preview Method to effectively evaluate the puppies. The results of this test, in addition to daily observations and interactions will help us assure that the best puppy for your family is the one you take home.

- Microchipped to ME and paid for by me. The microchip stays in my name and the owner does not get listed as a contact. (explanation)

- Vaccination vials for the last two vaccinations for you to give to your Vet.
- Application (or one year dues) paid to the Miami Valley Vizsla Club (or closest Regional club).
