The value of DNA Testing !
You will note that things have changed. It seems that Mother Nature made her own decisions. Tega and her brother Roady did a sneak breeding the Friday before she left for Canada. The pups are still the wonderful tempermented Vizslas that went to their new homes and continute to prove the quality of good breeding. At two years of age, they are fantastic Vizslas. One is being shown competetively in Agility, one is in training for agility competition, the rest are the wonderful pets they were purchased to be! This surprise breeding was found ONLY because the entrire litter was DNA'ed before they left for their new homes.
As a breeder who is concerned that all pups be as healthy (mentally and physically) as possible, I did all I could to check the health of Tega and Tavasz before breeding. This does NOT guarantee that all puppies will be perfect specimens of health all of their life, but it is an important qualification of a concerned breeder.
